Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Police Officer (Patrol) to join our law enforcement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws and ordinances, and providing community assistance through proactive patrols and investigations. This role requires a strong commitment to community service, physical readiness, and adherence to legal procedures. The Police Officer (Patrol) will be an integral part of ensuring a safe environment for all residents and visitors within the jurisdiction. Duties Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity, ensuring community safety. Respond promptly to emergency calls, incidents, and requests for assistance from the public. Enforce local ordinances, traffic laws, and criminal statutes in accordance with departmental policies. Document findings through detailed report writing. Make arrests following proper procedures, including search, seizure, and custody protocols. Handle firearms responsibly and competently as part of law enforcement duties, including use of force training when necessary. Apply knowledge of criminal procedures and court proceedings. Maintain physical conditioning to meet the demands of the role and ensure readiness for various situations. Collaborate respectfully with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to promote safety initiatives and community policing. Skills Valid Active law enforcement certification from CLEET. Proficiency in firearms handling and use of force techniques. Strong understanding of criminal / civil procedures. Knowledge of local ordinances, traffic laws, and criminal / civil statutes. Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail. Ability to respond effectively under pressure in emergency situations. Physical fitness and stamina necessary for patrol duties and physical confrontations. Good communication skills for interacting with the public, witnesses, and colleagues. Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to public service. Pay:
$47,500.00 - $52,500.00 per year
