Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, providing first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure immediate care. Conduct surveillance operations using various techniques to monitor suspicious activities and gather evidence lawfully. Enforce traffic laws by conducting traffic stops, issuing citations, and managing accident scenes while ensuring safety for all parties involved. Perform criminal investigations by collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and writing detailed reports in accordance with procedural law. Execute arrest procedures following established protocols, including search and seizure laws, to apprehend suspects safely and legally. Manage conflict situations using conflict management techniques and use of force training to resolve issues peacefully while maintaining safety. Handle evidence with precision, adhering to evidence law standards, and assist in loss prevention efforts to protect property. Operate standard passenger vehicles safely during patrols and respond efficiently to incidents across various terrains. Maintain knowledge of local ordinances, criminal law, immigration laws, animal handling regulations, and fire safety protocols relevant to law enforcement duties. Engage in community policing efforts by building positive relationships with residents and local organizations. Experience Prior experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership skills and familiarity with police procedures. Proven ability in report writing with attention to detail for documenting investigations accurately. Physical conditioning that allows for sustained activity including running, lifting, and restraining individuals as needed. Knowledge of firearms handling specific to law enforcement standards along with use of force training certifications. Familiarity with criminal procedure, search and seizure laws, traffic laws, procedural law knowledge, evidence collection techniques, and criminal investigation methods. Experience in handling animals or working within security environments is a plus for diverse operational needs.
