$36.19 - $48.51 per hour (LCPEA 2025/28 Wage Scale)

HIRING INCENTIVES
Hiring Bonus of $25,000--$12,500 paid at hire date, $12,500 paid upon completion of Field Training (FTEP). Paid Time Off Available for Immediate Use--Forty (40) hours of admin time and Forty (40) hours of sick front-loaded. Relocation Allowance--Up to $6,000 moving compensation based on relocation distance. Intermediate Certification DPSST Pay of 4% Advanced Certification DPSST Pay of 8%

Lateral Officer Application Process:
Police Officer Lateral Transfers--Must meet all entry-level requirements and must have successfully completed the Oregon DPSST Academy, or another state's equivalent of the Oregon DPSST Academy as well as having been full-time employed as a law enforcement officer within the last five years. If previous law enforcement employment was with a federal agency, equivalent of Oregon DPSST law enforcement training may be accepted if full-time employment as a law enforcement officer/agent occurred with the last five years. Lateral transfers must provide proof of Oregon DPSST Academy attendance and full-time employment within the last five years, or another state's equivalent of the Oregon DPSST Academy as well as proof of full-time employment as an out of state law enforcement officer within the five years.
