Job Description

Untitled The Cumberland County Police Testing Consortium offers applicants a single written and physical test, streamlining the hiring process for multiple police agencies in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Successfully passing the initial testing offered by the Consortium allows you to be considered for employment by any of the participating agencies. You save time and money by paying one application fee and taking one test, instead of separately applying and testing for each individual agency. The first test is the physical fitness test. If you pass the physical fitness test, you will immediately proceed to the written test. After the test results are finalized the Consortium will forward the list of eligible candidates to each of the participating departments. All applicants are notified in writing of their testing status and eligibility. Applicants are then contacted by interested agencies who advise on the required next steps. Such next steps may include an interview, polygraph, background investigation, psychological evaluation, etc.
REQUIREMENTS 1.
Valid driver's license 2. High School diploma or GED 3. United States Citizenship 4. 18 years of age (no maximum)

TESTING DATE:
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2026.
The written test will occur immediately following each of the physical agility flights. After submitting an application, applicants will be notified of their scheduled test time. Candidates should anticipate being at the testing site a minimum of four (4) hours. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
