ELCO District Office The Eastern Lebanon County School District is accepting applications for the position of School Police Officer. This is a ten-month, full-time position. Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule and will be responsible for various functions to assist in providing, maintaining, and enforcing a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will perform law enforcement functions in accordance with State laws and School District policies; patrol District schools and property; support administrative and/or campus activities; investigate possible illegal activity; communicate information, observation, and/or incidents that have potential impacts on safety; and collaborate regularly with their supervisor and District administration. Candidates should possess outstanding communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a sincere commitment to contributing to a supportive and positive school culture and climate. Minimum Requirements High School or GED is required Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university (preferred) Completed ACT 120 Training and certified by MPOETC, or a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy Minimum of 3 years law enforcement experience Weapons qualification and relevant trainings as required Valid PA driver's license Clearances All required clearances must be compliant with the Pennsylvania Department of Education's mandated criteria for hire, including: Current Act 34, 151, and 144 Application Procedure and Deadlines Applications will be accepted online through Frontline using the link on the ELCO School District's Website All positions will remain open until filled Questions may be directed to Human Resources, Eastern Lebanon County School District, 180 Elco Drive, Myerstown, PA 17067, or email elcoemployment@elcosd.org.
