The Phoenixville Borough Civil Service Commission is establishing a new eligibility list for fulltime Police Officers. Phoenixville is a fastgrowing, historic steel town just 30 miles west of Philadelphia known for its vibrant downtown, packed festival calendar, and strong community pride. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Meet all Civil Service requirements
  • Be Act 120 certified or currently enrolled in a Pennsylvania Municipal Police Academy Conditional offers for academy attendees require successful graduation and MPOETC certification. Age & Residency

  • Onemile run under 10 minutes
  • Obstacle course, including:
  • Sprinting/running
  • Weighted sled push (vehiclepush simulation)
  • Weighted body drag
  • Scaling a fivefoot wall Additional Screening Candidates advancing in the process may complete:
  • Oral examination
  • Background investigation
  • Polygraph
  • Medical exam
