Taylor County is currently seeking qualified applicants for Deputy Constable. All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and hold a current peace officers license in Texas. Qualified applicants will also be subject to an extensive criminal history and background investigation. Applicants must have ability to communicate orally and must have good organizational skills. Applicants must be self-motivated and be able to work without supervision. Applicants must be of high moral and ethical character, highly motivated and trustworthy. Be able to work independently, under general supervision with measurable performance expectations. Must be able to maintain positive, professional and effective working relationships with other law enforcement agencies, justice system personnel, elected officials and the general public.Duties:
Civil Law•Deliver and execute all forms of civil process, Subpoenas, Restraining Orders, Writs of Execution, Sequestrations, Writs of Possession, Attachments, Evictions, Protective Orders, etc. Also enforce local, state and federal laws, and enforce compliance with regulations and ordinances Serve Warrants•Use investigative skills and resources to locate and apprehend fugitives, make arrests, collect fees, write reports and correspondence, and maintain computer filesSimilar jobs in Abilene, TX
