Performs patrol/law enforcement duties in accordance with local and State laws. Serves and protects the citizens and visitors of Corsicana through crime prevention, law enforcement and preservation of the peace. Does everything within one's own scope of influence to further implement the organizations philosophy of community-oriented policing. Demonstrates integrity, dependability, and maturity. Applicants for this position must meet the entrance requirements as stated in the Firemen's and Policemen's Civil Service Law and the City of Corsicana Local Civil Service Rules; have or be able to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of the position.
