Under general supervision, Gregory Police Officers provide Law Enforcement and Crime Prevention services to the public, control traffic flow, and enforce State and Local traffic regulations. The Officer will also work interdiction on major highways. The Officer will also participate in and provide support and assistance in Special Law Enforcement Programs of traffic enforcement. Officers will be required to fulfill all duties of a Police Officer, including making arrests, running, climbing, sitting and standing for long hours, and writing legible and articulate reports. Applicants will also be required to have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with the public. Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen, at least 21 years of age. Must hold a Basic Peace Officers Certificate. Must have 2 or more years of experience in Law Enforcement. Must not have had any break in Service in Law Enforcement. Must submit a Personal History Statement (PHS). Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate. Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must be computer literate. Must meet duty-ready physical requirements. U.S.
Military Service:
must present a DD214 with Honorable status. Must pass a background check. Must clear CCH (TCIC-NCIC). Must clear DPS/FBI fingerprint return. Must have all mandatory requirements in TCOLE.
