Job Description
The City of Terrell Hills is accepting applications for (1) Police Officer position.
STARTING RATE
$5,688 to $6,467 monthly, and paid overtime. Education and professional certification pay. Experienced applicants can receive credit for up to 5 years (8%) longevity for past work history.BENEFITS
TMRS 7% 2 to 1 City match, 100% employee medical/dental/vision insurance paid, 24 vacation days per year, 8 hours sick time earned per month, and direct deposit.POSITION SUMMARY
Enforces federal, state and local laws and ordinances under general direction. Performs various duties to support law enforcement activities as well as provide service to the citizens in an efficient and professional manner. Patrols city streets, parks, commercial and residential areas to preserve the peace and enforce the laws and ordinances. Responds to calls for service; investigates accident scenes, criminal activity reports, civil and domestic disturbances, missing person reports, reports of prowlers and illegal drug activities, etc.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicant must be certified and licensed in Texas as a Police Officer, hold a basic TCOLE certification , and have a valid Class "C" Texas driver license with an acceptable driving record. Applicants must pass a written examination, background investigation, interview, pre-employment physical, psychological (if required) and pre-employment drug screen tests; also have the ability to work any shift.
