Family Law & Criminal Defense Location:

Full-Time Join Our Growing Legal Team We are a well-established, client-focused law firm in Mobile, Alabama, seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our practice concentrating in family law and criminal defense . This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about courtroom advocacy, client counseling, and making a meaningful difference in clients' lives. The ideal candidate is organized, confident in the courtroom, eager to learn, and committed to providing exceptional legal representation. Responsibilities Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, contempt actions, and protection orders. Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases in municipal, district, and circuit courts. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and settlement agreements. Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, trials, and other court proceedings. Negotiate favorable resolutions for clients when appropriate. Maintain regular communication with clients and provide timely case updates. Manage an active caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining high professional standards. Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Alabama and in good standing with the Alabama State Bar. Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal communication skills. Prior experience in family law, criminal defense, or litigation is preferred but not required.
