About the Role MGW Law Partners is seeking a sharp and tenacious Civil Litigation Attorney with real courtroom experience to join our Fayetteville, Arkansas firm. This is not a desk-only litigation role — we need an attorney who has stood before judges and juries and is comfortable arguing motions, examining witnesses, and trying cases. You will represent individuals and businesses in a wide range of civil disputes from pre-suit negotiation through trial and appeal, serving as a strategic advocate for clients navigating high-stakes conflicts, with the opportunity to build and manage a substantive litigation practice backed by an established firm known across Arkansas for its rigorous standards and results. What You'll Do Represent plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters including contract disputes, business litigation, construction disputes, property and real estate conflicts, and tort claims Appear regularly in Arkansas state and federal courts — arguing motions, handling hearings, and trying cases, both bench and jury Manage cases from intake and pre-suit demand through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements Take and defend depositions, and conduct thorough case investigations and legal research Develop case strategy and advise clients on risks, costs, and realistic outcomes at every stage Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations and arbitrations Maintain detailed and organized case files in compliance with firm protocols Collaborate with paralegals, support staff, and co-counsel as needed What We're Looking For Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in the State of Arkansas 2+ years of civil litigation experience Courtroom experience required — a track record of appearing in court: arguing motions, handling hearings, examining witnesses, and trying cases (first-chair or meaningful second-chair) Deposition experience and the composure to perform under pressure Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Sound judgment and the ability to weigh legal strategy against practical business realities Ability to manage a demanding caseload with professionalism Deep commitment to client advocacy and ethical practice Experience litigating in Northwest Arkansas state and federal courts is a plus Benefits Retirement account Benefits Competitive wage based on experience Why MGW Law Partners We are Arkansas' premier law firm, headquartered in Fayetteville and known across the state for our rigorous standards, collegial culture, and commitment to excellence.
