Advise Clients. Earn More for Strong Performance. Dennis P. Block & Associates, APC, one of California's most established landlord-tenant law firms, is seeking a confident, personable, and motivated Client Consultation Attorney to join our Burbank office. This is a unique attorney position for someone who enjoys the client-facing and problem-solving side of practicing law. Rather than spending your days primarily in court, you will conduct telephone consultations with prospective and existing clients, analyze their legal situations, explain their options, recommend the appropriate course of action, and help clients move forward with opening cases with our firm. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position includes a performance-based bonus structure that provides additional earning potential for attorneys who excel in the role. If you are persuasive, articulate, comfortable speaking with clients, and motivated by both professional success and financial opportunity, this position offers an exciting alternative to a traditional litigation-heavy attorney role. About Dennis P. Block & Associates, APC Founded in 1976, Dennis P. Block & Associates, APC is a California law firm focused on residential and commercial evictions and landlord-tenant law. Over the past 50 years, the firm has handled more than 250,000 tenant evictions throughout California, representing clients ranging from individual property owners and professional property management companies to banks, municipalities, and government entities. Our high-volume practice means our attorneys regularly speak with clients who need knowledgeable, practical and timely legal guidance. What You'll Do As a Client Consultation Attorney, you will play an important role in both serving our clients and helping grow the firm.
You will:
Conduct telephone consultations with prospective and existing clients Evaluate clients' circumstances and identify the relevant legal issues Provide clear, practical legal guidance regarding landlord-tenant matters Explain available legal options and recommend appropriate next steps Help prospective clients move forward with opening and initiating cases with the firm Answer client questions regarding evictions, notices, unlawful detainer proceedings, and related landlord-tenant issues Build confidence and rapport with prospective clients during consultations What Makes This Position Different This isn't a traditional attorney position where most of your time is spent preparing for appearances, traveling to courthouses, or waiting for your case to be called. Your primary tools are your legal knowledge, judgment, communication skills, and ability to connect with clients. For the right attorney, that means: Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus opportunities Additional earning potential for strong performers Primarily office-based work Substantial direct client interaction Less emphasis on daily courtroom appearances Opportunity to develop extensive knowledge of California landlord-tenant law A steady flow of prospective and existing client matters Who Thrives in This Role? You do not need to be the attorney who loves spending every day in a courtroom. You do need to be someone who enjoys talking to people, thinking quickly, solving problems, and helping clients make decisions. Experience in landlord-tenant law and unlawful detainer is preferred, but not required . We welcome talented attorneys from other practice areas who bring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a client-focused personality. We are willing to train the right attorney and provide the knowledge and guidance needed to succeed in our practice.
