A Different Kind of Tax Resolution Firm We are not a turn-and-burn operation . We don't believe experienced EAs should be buried under unreasonable caseloads, spending their days putting out fires or rushing clients through a system simply to keep up with volume. We want our EAs to have the time and resources necessary to: Properly evaluate cases Develop the right resolution strategy Communicate with clients Work effectively with the IRS Think through complicated situations Move cases toward the best available resolution Most importantly, we want our EA spending their time doing EA-level work. As caseloads grow, we will provide administrative and client-service support so routine functions can be handled by the appropriate team members while you remain focused on resolution, representation and strategy. Who We're Looking For We are looking for a sharp, experienced Enrolled Agent with substantial hands-on experience in IRS tax resolution and representation .
The ideal candidate:
Has significant experience handling IRS tax resolution cases Understands IRS collection procedures and resolution alternatives Has experience with Offers in Compromise Understands Installment Agreements Has experience establishing Currently Not Collectible status Understands penalty abatement and other collection remedies Is comfortable reviewing IRS transcripts Can analyze client financial information Can evaluate a case and recommend an appropriate resolution strategy Communicates clearly and professionally with clients Communicates effectively with IRS personnel Has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Is organized and detail-oriented Exercises good professional judgment Can work independently Knows how to move cases forward Takes pride in doing quality work We are especially interested in someone who has already worked inside an established tax resolution company and understands both the technical work and the problems created by poorly managed, excessively high-volume environments. What You'll Be Doing Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing new client cases and IRS transcripts Analyzing financial information Developing appropriate tax resolution strategies Representing individual and business clients before the IRS Communicating directly with IRS personnel Managing case status, negotiations and compliance matters Preparing and managing Offers in Compromise Establishing Installment Agreements Establishing Currently Not Collectible status Handling penalty abatement matters Handling IRS collection issues Conducting tax research when necessary Explaining strategies and case developments clearly to clients Maintaining accurate case notes and documentation Working with administrative and client-service staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution Helping improve procedures and workflow as the department grows Staying current on relevant tax law and IRS procedural changes Qualifications Active Enrolled Agent credential required CAF number and PTIN required Significant hands-on IRS tax resolution experience Strong understanding of federal tax law and IRS collection procedures Experience handling OIC, Installment Agreement, CNC and penalty abatement matters Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively Experience reviewing IRS transcripts to identify additional resolution, compliance, or tax-service opportunities and recognize opportunities to expand the scope of services is a plus, but not required. This is not an entry-level EA position. We are looking for someone who already understands tax resolution and is ready for an environment where that experience will be valued.
