Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated attorney to join our family law focused legal team. In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel and representation in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support and domestic violence restraining orders. The ideal candidate will be confident managing their own caseload, possess strong writing ability, maintain strong courtroom skills, and demonstrate excellent communication. Your zealous yet compassionate approach will help clients navigate complex emotional situations with confidence and clarity. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and advocating zealously for clients' rights. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the firm and make a meaningful impact on families during pivotal moments in their lives. Duties Represent clients in family law cases such as divorce, child custody disputes, visitation rights, support matters and domestic violence restraining order proceedings. Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity. Conduct, propound and respond to discovery including form and special interrogatories and document production demands. Prepare for and appear in court hearings and trials to advocate on behalf of clients with confidence. Conduct legal research and case strategy development. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsels and courtroom personnel. Negotiate favorable outcomes for clients through settlement conferences and discussions. Provide comprehensive legal advice in various areas of Family Law. Conduct legal research utilizing WestLaw. Maintain accurate and timely case documentation. Maintain minimum billable requirements. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents. Excellent communication skills to confidently advocate for clients and explain complex family law issues with clarity and precision. Strong negotiation skills to facilitate amicable resolutions when possible. Ability to maintain multiple case and meet deadlines. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Preferred Qualifications 2 years experience handling Family Law cases. Bilingual ability (Spanish).
