Litigation Attorney Transportation | Aviation | Construction | HOA | Professional Liability |
General Liability Position:
Full-Time Opportunity Our client, a well-established and growing litigation practice, is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with civil litigation experience who is interested in handling a diverse caseload involving transportation, aviation, construction, HOA/community association, professional liability, and general liability matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of cases and work directly with clients from initial evaluation through resolution. Responsibilities Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution. Conduct legal research, factual investigations, and case evaluations. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents. Take and defend depositions. Manage written discovery and expert-related matters. Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial preparation. Develop case strategy and negotiate settlements. Communicate directly with clients, insurers, claims professionals, and opposing counsel. Appear in state and federal courts as appropriate. Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and other litigation professionals. Qualifications Civil litigation experience preferred. Insurance defense experience is a plus. Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills. Deposition experience preferred. Ability to independently manage cases and competing deadlines. Excellent client-service and communication skills. Strong interest in developing courtroom and trial experience. This is not simply a "paper-pushing" litigation position. The ideal candidate is an attorney who enjoys litigation, wants meaningful responsibility, and is interested in becoming a well-rounded civil litigator. An attorney with a current, good standing license in the state they practice and a foundation in insurance defense, general liability, construction, transportation, or professional liability could be particularly well positioned for this opportunity.
