Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and support proceedings. Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and settlement agreements with precision and attention to detail. Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies. Manage case files efficiently using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date. Coordinate client interviews, gather necessary documentation, and maintain clear communication to keep clients informed throughout the legal process. Organize and schedule court deadlines, hearings, and meetings while maintaining strict adherence to procedural law requirements. Support attorneys in trial preparation by reviewing documents, managing exhibits, and assisting with litigation support tasks in civil litigation contexts. Experience Proven paralegal experience supporting family law cases or related civil litigation environments. Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal drafting, document review, and legal research techniques. Familiarity with legal case management software such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, PCLaw, and document processing tools like Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Demonstrated experience in client communication, proofreading legal documents, and providing executive administrative support as needed. Knowledge of estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law—including personal injury case experience—and general & commercial litigation is a plus but not required.
