WORKERS' COMPENSATION HEARING REPRESENTATIVE APPLICANT SIDE
Job Type:
Full Time, In Office Salary:
$70,000 to $90,000 annually including bonus, depending on experience The Law Offices of Bob Nehoray is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Hearing Representative to join our growing applicant practice. This is an in office position requiring travel to Workers' Compensation Appeals Board locations as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent applicants at status conferences, priority conferences, mandatory settlement conferences, expedited hearings, lien conferences, and other WCAB proceedings Review medical reports, discovery, pleadings, benefit notices, and case files before appearances Develop hearing strategies in coordination with attorneys and case managers Negotiate settlements , including Compromise and Release agreements and Stipulations with Request for Award, within authorized parameters Identify outstanding discovery, medical treatment, benefit, and settlement issues Prepare pretrial conference statements, hearing reports, settlement documents, and related correspondence Communicate hearing results and required next steps promptly Maintain accurate notes, deadlines, and follow up assignments in MerusCase Travel to assigned WCAB locations throughout California
QUALIFICATIONS
At least two years of California workers' compensation hearing representative experience preferred Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation law, procedures, terminology, and WCAB practices Applicant side experience strongly preferred Ability to independently manage a high volume hearing calendar Strong negotiation, case analysis, communication, and organizational skills Dependable transportation and the ability to travel to WCAB locations Experience with MerusCase preferred
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
