Led by the child of immigrants and proudly LGBTQ-owned — and staunch champions for women's rights and underrepresented communities — we understand exactly what's at stake when someone walks through our doors. Our team is made up of immigrants and first-generation Americans, so this isn't abstract to us: we've lived it. We don't just process cases. We fight to keep families together and protect the people who need it most. We're looking for a front desk specialist who shares that mission and understands the sacrifices our immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities make every day. The Role You'll be the first face our clients see when they arrive — and for someone who's scared or overwhelmed, that welcome matters enormously. This is the heartbeat of our lobby: you'll keep the front of house running smoothly, keep our attorneys supported, and make sure every client who walks through our doors feels seen and cared for. What you'll do Welcome clients and guests, and set a warm, reassuring tone in the lobby Manage the firm calendar and coordinate appointments Gather and prepare files ahead of client appointments so attorneys are ready to go Support attorneys with administrative tasks as needed Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail daily Direct incoming calls and greet arriving clients, coordinating with our call center team as needed Work side by side with a team that shows up for each other every day What we're looking for Fluency in English and Spanish (required) Warm, client-first attitude — you genuinely like helping people and putting them at ease Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle a busy lobby, calendar, and files without dropping a beat Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced office A genuine connection to our cause and a heart for advocating for immigrant, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities Prior front desk, reception, or customer service experience is a plus Why you'll want to be here We take care of our team. Our culture is welcoming and team-first, and we make sure you have every tool you need to do your best work. We bring in office lunches and catering regularly because the team that eats together sticks together. There's real room to grow — we notice initiative, we reward people who figure things out and make the firm better, and we promote from within.
