As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and driven Medical Lien Negotiator to join our high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in personal injury lien resolution who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maximizing client recoveries through strategic lien negotiation. Position Overview The Medical Lien Negotiator will work closely with attorneys, case managers, accounting, and other departments to efficiently negotiate and resolve a high volume of medical and governmental liens. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, extensive knowledge of lien resolution processes, and the ability to manage complex cases with urgency and precision. Key Responsibilities Negotiate and resolve pre-settlement and post-settlement medical liens, including: Medicare, Medicaid, and related liens, ERISA and private health insurance liens, Hospital, ER, EMS, and private medical provider liens, State and federal healthcare-related liens Manage a high-volume caseload of lien negotiations while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy Communicate directly with governmental agencies, insurance carriers, hospitals, and medical providers regarding lien reductions and resolutions Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and accounting teams to facilitate timely case settlements and disbursements Review, organize, and maintain lien-related documentation and correspondence Maintain electronic files in compliance with firm procedures and standards Communicate with clients professionally and compassionately regarding lien-related matters when necessary Qualifications 1+ years experience in personal injury or workers' compensation lien resolutions and negotiations Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Medi-Cal, and other governmental healthcare lien procedures Experience negotiating liens with health insurance carriers, hospitals, and private medical providers Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy and efficiency Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Spanish bilingual skills are a plus, but not required Join Our Team At Sweet James, we believe our people are the foundation of our success.
