Job Description
Position:
Associate Attorney A top 200 leading law firm in Oakland, California, specializing in corporate and business law. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our team.Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents for clients
- Advise clients on legal matters and provide strategic legal advice
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations
- Assist with drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements
- Prepare and review legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Maintain and update client files and documents
- Attend client meetings and assist with client communications
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services
- Keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients
- Handle multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the State Bar of California
- 2-3 years of experience in a law firm, preferably in corporate or business law
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle a high volume of work
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
- Knowledge of California laws and regulations
