We are looking for a criminal defense attorney to join our team. If you have a passion and love for criminal defense work, enjoy fighting the heavy hand of the Government, and believe in our Constitution, you should apply here. Pay is determined based on experience. Must be a barred CA Attorney to apply, and have no CA State Bar misconduct.
Job Duties:
  • You will be given a caseload, and handle a wide range of misdemeanor, felony and motion cases
  • You will have court appearances throughout San Bernardino, Riverside, and sometimes Los Angeles County
  • You will visit with clients in custody to discuss their case, defenses, and options
  • You will handle criminal matters from the beginning of intake, through the Pretrial process, through either Plea Bargain, Preliminary Hearing, or Jury Trial
  • You will research, study, and advocate on behalf of clients in Court, and in the office through careful preparation You would be a good candidate if you:
  • Are prompt, able to attend Court Hearings, sometimes multiple Courthouse in a day, and 3-5 days per week, and juggling a full case load
  • Are good with calendaring your cases after Court, and never missing Court Dates
  • Are able to have a good rapport with clients, being able to listen to their problems, explain their criminal case, possible defenses, and possible exposure to them in a way that they can understand
  • Are interested in involving yourself in heavy criminal defense matters, from cases ranging from simple Theft and DUI cases, all the way to serious Sex cases of Child Molestation and even Murder
  • Have the ability to self-structure and independently manage your cases from the onset through completion
  • Are Poised, polished, and professional in appearance, courtroom demeanor, and work product
  • Are driven to zealously defend clients (no matter what the facts of the case);
Experience :
  • There is no experience required to apply, however, if you do not have any criminal law experience, please include in your submissions the reason that you are interested in this position, outside of location to your home, better pay, or because you dislike your current job
  • Former PDs and DAs will be preferred
