Job Description

Family Law Attorney Law Office of Gary S. Austin 6809 Indiana Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506 $150,000 - $175,000 a year $150,000 - $175,000 a year We need a lawyer who can sit across from a parent who hasn't slept in three days and help them make decisions they won't regret in five years. The work itself is what you'd expect... divorces from the friendly to the ugly, custody fights, support disputes, prenups for the cautious, and the property questions that surface when two lives separate. The harder files come too. Allegations of abuse. Restraining orders. Custody cases where one parent is dangerous, and the other is barely hanging on. We don't hand those to attorneys who flinch. You'll run your own cases. Draft the motions, negotiate the settlements, try the matters that need a courtroom, and settle the ones that don't. You'll write your own briefs. You'll meet your own clients. You'll own your outcomes. What we need to see from you... a license in good standing, real cases you've handled start to finish, and references who will pick up the phone and tell us the truth about working with you. We're less interested in where you went to school and more interested in what you've actually done since you got out. What you get from us is straightforward. A caseload that lets you do the work properly instead of triaging fires. Staff who know what they're doing. Partners who still try cases themselves and remember what it feels like. Compensation tied to what you bring in. To apply, send your resume and a short note about one case you handled that you'd want us to know about. Tell us what happened and what you learned. No cover letter templates. We'll know.
