Job Description
Position OverviewJoin a high-performing labor and employment practice where you'll take ownership of sophisticated litigation matters and gain meaningful hands-on experience representing employers in complex workplace disputes. This opportunity offers the ability to manage cases from start to finish while working on high-stakes wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and PAGA matters. You'll work with a diverse employer clientele in a collaborative and fast-paced environment that provides substantial responsibility and professional growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent employers in employment litigation matters involving wage and hour claims, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related workplace disputes.
Manage cases through all phases of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery, preparing pleadings, conducting depositions, and handling case strategy.
Prepare, oppose, and argue motions in state and federal court proceedings.
Defend employers in California wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions.
Work closely with attorneys and employers on litigation strategy, case management, and dispute resolution.
Qualifications / Nice to HaveMust Have4+ years of employment litigation experience.
Experience representing employers in labor and employment matters.
Experience drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings.
Experience preparing and arguing motions.
Experience taking and defending depositions.
Active California Bar admission.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Nice to HaveExperience with California wage and hour class actions.
Experience with PAGA representative actions.
Experience independently managing litigation matters from inception through resolution.
