Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team as a litigation associate. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a wide range of legal practice areas, including civil litigation, probate litigation, family law, criminal defense, employment law, general & commercial litigation, and more. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional legal counsel, conducting thorough research, and advocating effectively for clients. This position is paid and designed for a motivated professional eager to develop their expertise across diverse legal disciplines while contributing to meaningful cases and client success. Duties Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and statutory interpretation. Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and briefs with precision and clarity. Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and participating in court depositions. Provide expert legal counsel to clients across various practice areas such as employment law, family law, probate litigation, and civil litigation. Assist in negotiation processes to achieve favorable outcomes for clients in settlement discussions or transactional matters. Manage legal case files efficiently using case management software to ensure timely updates and compliance with procedural laws. Support litigation efforts through trial preparation activities and procedural law adherence while maintaining high standards of legal advocacy. Skills Knowledge of multiple practice areas or an ability to learn multiple practice areas including civil litigation, probate litigation, family law, criminal defense, employment law, and general & commercial litigation. Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw for statutory and case law analysis. Excellent legal writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive documents. Experience in court depositions, trial preparation, motion filing, and procedural compliance. Effective negotiation abilities to advocate for clients' best interests in settlement or transactional settings. Familiarity with legal case management systems to organize files and track case progress efficiently. Exceptional client communication skills to explain complex legal concepts clearly and professionally. Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
