2997287232-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Global Medical Response seeks a Legal Counsel, Insured Litigation, to manage and oversee insured and covered litigation matters across its nationwide medical transportation operations. In this role, you will direct outside counsel, evaluate claims and case strategy, ensure timely and cost-effective resolutions, and advise internal stakeholders on risk, contracts, and litigation exposure. You will collaborate with clinical, operations, and risk teams to align legal strategy with patient care, safety, and regulatory requirements, while supporting a culture of integrity, accountability, and community-focused service. Responsibilities Manage and oversee insured and covered litigation matters nationwide Direct and evaluate outside counsel, including strategy and budgets Assess liability, exposure, and settlement options for claims and lawsuits Advise internal stakeholders on litigation risk and case developments Collaborate with operations, clinical, and risk teams on incident response Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, insurance, and regulatory requirements Develop and implement litigation and risk management best practices Review and assist with contracts, indemnity, and insurance-related language Support training on claims, documentation, and litigation readiness Report on litigation trends, reserves, and outcomes to leadership Required Skills Insured litigation Insurance defense Civil procedure Legal research Legal writing and drafting Risk management Case strategy and evaluation Negotiation and settlement Regulatory compliance (healthcare/insurance) Litigation management with outside counsel
