Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here A growing boutique law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney to join its civil and commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience and the ability to manage assigned matters with support from experienced attorneys and legal staff.
Associate Attorney Responsibilities:
Manage assigned civil and commercial litigation matters from case assessment through settlement, mediation, arbitration or trial Handle a diverse caseload involving construction, real estate, breach of contract, business disputes, general liability/personal injury and mechanic's liens Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, contracts and related filings Conduct discovery and case preparation, including depositions, document review, subpoenas, expert coordination and witness preparation Represent clients in litigation proceedings, including hearings, negotiations, mediation, arbitration and trial preparation Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff regarding case strategy, status, legal issues and potential outcomes
Associate Attorney Requirements:
3-7 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience Active Colorado Bar admission and eligibility to practice in Colorado Hands-on experience managing litigation matters through multiple phases of the litigation process Experience with construction, real estate, commercial/business disputes, contract litigation, general liability or mechanic's liens preferred 1st or 2nd chair trial experience preferred, along with experience handling depositions, discovery, motion practice, hearings, mediation and settlement negotiations Strong legal research, writing, analytical, communication and client-service skills, with the ability to work independently and seek guidance when appropriate
