Hours:
Weekdays, daytime, with some flexibility Compensation Salary expectations should be included with any inquiries. Compensation will be based upon hours being worked and experience. About Our Firm We are a small Connecticut-based probate and elder law practice, serving our clients with compassion, integrity, and dedication. Our primary areas of practice are Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration/Probate. We take pride in being more than a law office — we are a warm, close-knit team who work hard to do our very best for each client. We're looking for someone who will fit this culture as naturally as they fit the role. The Opportunity We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our practice on a part-time basis, with the potential to grow into a full-time position if the fit develops. This role involves regular probate court appearances, client meetings, and on occasion, travel within the local area to assist elderly or disabled clients who are unable to travel to the office and require estate planning documents. It's an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys helping others, who wants meaningful, relationship-driven work and a relatively flexible schedule.
What You'll Do:
Handle probate matters, including appearances before Connecticut Probate Courts Meet with clients in the office, and on occasion, travel to clients as needed (to hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or clients' homes - to execute documents) Work on cases assigned across any of our practice areas Who We're Looking For The right candidate will: Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly when working with elderly clients and their families Be a compassionate, dedicated and determined individual Bring dedication, integrity, and reliability to their work Be a natural fit with a team that values teamwork, drive, competence, kindness and a sense of humor Be comfortable working independently while staying closely connected to a collaborative office culture. Be organized and comfortable with tracking and meeting deadlines Be someone who will take the extra step to make sure things are done right Qualifications Admitted to practice in Connecticut and in good standing with the Connecticut Bar Experience in at least one of the following areas is required: Elder Law, Estate Planning, or Estate Administration/Probate Comfortable appearing in Connecticut Probate Courts Familiarity with QuickBooks, Word, Clio, and Adobe is a plus Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to Connecticut Probate Courts or to see clients in various setting Availability during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility

$55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
