Control number 868167800 This job is open to Help The public U.S. Citizens, Nionals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Clarificion from the agency U.S. Citizens Duties Help As the Senior Investigive Attorney (SIA) the incumbent part of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Office of Investigions (OI) serving under the Counsel to the Inspector General/Assistant Inspector General of Investigions. The incumbent will assist, conduct and lead criminal, civil and administrive investigions, as well as investigions requested by Congress into alleged violions of or non-compliance with laws, administrive rules and regulions, or policies pertaining to the AbilityOne Commission (Commission) and its programs and operions. The SIA assess findings, develops investigive plans and exercises professional judgement in determining the scope and approach to resolve allegions. Drafts report of investigions or other investigive products th include the analyses of evidence as it reled to a law, stute, regulion, or policy. As needed, the SIA will present OIG findings and results clearly and precisely to the OIG and Commission's management, federal agencies and other third parties.Other responsibilities include:
The SIA is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the hotline and case management systems, including communicion with complainants, witnesses, and targets, uploading documents and notes to the relevant systems, and ensuring th OI systems are always kept up to de. SIA is also responsible for referring approprie mters to relevant OIGs and federal agencies. The SIA is responsible for assisting OI staff members through the ghering of investigive facts including stements and documents provided by complainants, witnesses, and targets, and the review of these stements and documents relevant to the allegion in compliance with Attorney General Guidelines, CIGIE Standards for investigions, and other applicable standards. The SIA is responsible for drafting and reviewing investigive documents including investigive plans, memoranda of investigive interviews, summaries of facts, cases, stutes, rules and regulions, reports of investigion. The SIA prepares case plans and case opening predicions th include identifying potential violions of AbilityOne and its Program. The SIA prepares special investigive techniques, time frames for witness and subject interviews, and a preliminary investigive outline. The SIA coordines investigions and other assignments in a manner th maximizes productivity and is compible with goals established by the OIG. Effectively advances the progress of investigions and meets deadlines. The SIA brings to the tention the IG, and/or the Office of Counsel, mters of concern and negoties resolutions to problems, particularly those involving the coordinion of investigive and/or legal stregy. The SIA may serve or assist the Whistleblower Officer within the OIG and be the liaison for Department of Justice for Qui Tam cases. The SIA is required to learn, interpret, apply and maintain knowledge of Commission and OIG policies, procedures, and directives applicable to performing the responsibilities of the position. The SIA consults with the OIG Office of Counsel when making determinion of the Commission and its Programs compliance. As such the SIA may also interact directly with all levels of Commission staff and AbilityOne Program employees. The SIA reviews the case work of other OI staff and assists the OI staff when needed in preparing and presenting case work. The SIA keeps the AIGI informed of key investigive milestones, challenges, and delays. The SIA may also assist OIG management with other duties, as assigned.
