Job Summary A professional legal services firm in Clearwater, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney for a direct hire opportunity focused on Estate Planning and Estate Administration. This role is ideal for an attorney with 1-2 years of legal experience who enjoys advising individuals and families, managing meaningful client matters, and providing practical legal guidance during important life and financial planning decisions. The Associate Attorney will join a supportive, client-focused legal environment that values collaboration, responsive communication, strong file management, and high-quality representation. Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies based on family, financial, succession planning, and personal objectives.
  • Draft, review, and update Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, and related estate planning documents.
  • Manage estate administration and probate matters from initial consultation through completion.
  • Counsel Executors, Personal Representatives, Trustees, and beneficiaries regarding legal duties, deadlines, documentation, and rights.
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, government agencies, accountants, tax advisors, and other professionals.
  • Identify and help resolve estate administration issues involving asset collection, valuation, creditor claims, liabilities, distributions, releases, and related correspondence. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $80,000 to $95,000 per year.
  • Job type: Direct hire. Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Advise clients on estate planning and estate administration matters.
  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives.
  • Manage probate and estate administration files from intake through resolution.
  • Communicate with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, advisors, and outside institutions throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • 1-2 years of legal experience required.
  • Experience or strong interest in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate, Trusts, and related legal matters.
  • Licensed attorney in good standing, with ability to practice law in Florida.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and client counseling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines, documentation, client files, and multiple active matters.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and commitment to ethical legal practice. Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience drafting estate planning documents or assisting with probate and trust administration matters.
  • Familiarity with Florida probate procedures, fiduciary responsibilities, estate deadlines, and related court filings.
  • Experience working directly with individuals, families, fiduciaries, financial advisors, accountants, or tax professionals.
  • Interest in building a long-term practice in Estate Planning and Estate Administration.
