Job Summary A growing professional services team in Clearwater, FL is seeking a skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for a direct hire opportunity focused on complex tax compliance, tax resolution, and accounting support. This CPA role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys solving challenging client issues, working independently, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. This opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of advanced tax matters while partnering with legal professionals, supporting clients through IRS and state tax issues, and mentoring developing accounting talent. The work environment is professional, team-oriented, and built around strong client service, supportive leadership, and continued professional growth. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and business clients.
  • Serve as the firm's designated Electronic Return Originator and oversee electronic filing workflows.
  • Represent clients in tax resolution matters before the IRS and state taxing authorities.
  • Collaborate with legal staff by providing specialized accounting, tax, and compliance support.
  • Mentor staff accountants and guide team members pursuing CPA licensure.
  • Manage deadlines, seasonal priorities, and regulatory requirements with minimal supervision.
