This position is ideal for both experienced attorneys and recent law school graduates who sat for the July bar exam. No prior experience is required. We are looking for driven new attorneys ready to hit the ground running. Associates are assigned their own files and work closely with the Managing Partner on first and third-party civil insurance defense cases. From day one, you will gain hands-on litigation experience, including hearings, depositions, mediation, and preparing files for settlement or trial. We are a boutique insurance defense firm specializing in results-oriented litigation, and we invest in the growth of our attorneys, with the opportunity to become a partner within 5 years. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for negotiations and proceedings. Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of the Managing Partner. Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients. Communicate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently. Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
