The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling Florida family law matters and be capable of managing cases from inception through final hearing or trial with little assistance. This is an in person position. Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, discovery requests, and proposed orders. Prepare and organize mandatory disclosure and financial documents. Assist attorneys with case management, trial preparation, and hearing preparation. Maintain case calendars and monitor court deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, judicial assistants, and court personnel. Review and summarize financial records, bank statements, tax returns, and other evidence. Coordinate mediations, hearings, depositions, and consultations. Utilize Florida e-Filing Portal and court systems. Maintain accurate case files and billing records. Experience Must have proven paralegal experience in a family law office setting. 5 years minimum consistent paralegal experience required. Must be able to perform the tasks detailed in your resume. Must have knowledge of Florida family law procedures and court rules and know time frames for compliance. Must know discovery deadlines. Must have experience with divorce, paternity, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and post-judgment matters. must be able to assist clients with the completion of their financial affidavits and mandatory disclosure. Must know proper etiquette when communicating with the Court and with clients. Must know how to draft basic legal documents, including CCMDs.
