Our practice focuses primarily on Immigration Law while also representing clients in Family Law and Business Law matters. We are looking for an attorney who is intelligent, highly organized, compassionate, and eager to develop professionally across these practice areas. Prior immigration law experience is not required. We welcome newly licensed and early-career attorneys who demonstrate strong legal judgment, excellent research and writing abilities, professionalism, and a genuine willingness to learn. Because this position will also involve matters governed by Florida law, candidates must be active members in good standing of The Florida Bar and eligible to practice law in Florida. This is a full-time, in-person position at our Miami office. This position is not remote or hybrid. Candidates must also be willing and able to travel within the United States when required for client representation, hearings, court appearances, detention matters, and other case-related responsibilities. The Role The Attorney will work closely with the firm's legal team while developing an active caseload involving Immigration, Family, and Business Law. This position is particularly well suited for an attorney who wants meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, courtroom and administrative practice exposure, and the opportunity to develop across multiple areas of law. Responsibilities will be assigned according to the attorney's experience, training, and demonstrated competency. Responsibilities Immigration Law Represent clients in immigration matters before USCIS, EOIR, and other appropriate agencies and tribunals. Assist with family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, asylum, removal and deportation defense, detention matters, waivers, employment and special visa matters, and other immigration cases handled by the firm. Prepare and review petitions, applications, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, supporting evidence, and other filings. Conduct legal research involving immigration statutes, regulations, administrative decisions, agency guidance, and federal case law. Prepare clients for USCIS interviews, immigration court proceedings, and other appearances. Attend hearings, interviews, court proceedings, and other case-related appearances as required. Travel within the United States when necessary for client representation and case-related matters. Family Law Assist with and gradually assume responsibility for Florida Family Law matters handled by the firm. Meet with clients and evaluate family law matters in accordance with firm procedures. Draft and review pleadings, motions, agreements, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents. Conduct research involving Florida statutes, procedural rules, and applicable case law. Assist with negotiations, hearings, mediations, and other family court proceedings. Maintain deadlines and procedural requirements associated with active family law cases. Business Law Assist clients with business formation, contracts, corporate documentation, and other transactional and business-related matters handled by the firm. Draft and review contracts, agreements, corporate records, and other business documents. Conduct legal research involving Florida business and corporate law. Participate in business consultations and identify legal issues requiring further analysis. Work on matters that intersect immigration and business law, including cases involving entrepreneurs, investors, employers, and business owners. General Responsibilities Meet and communicate directly with clients regarding their legal matters. Analyze facts and identify legal and procedural issues. Conduct thorough legal research and prepare clear written analysis. Maintain accurate case notes, deadlines, documentation, and case-management records. Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff. Maintain strict client confidentiality and comply with all professional and ethical obligations. Provide clients with professional, respectful, and compassionate representation. Appear personally for hearings, interviews, meetings, and other proceedings when required.
