We are looking for attorneys with experience in personal injury litigation, insurance defense or related civil litigation matters. We are open to candidates at multiple stages of their careers, from newer attorneys looking to build serious litigation experience to seasoned lawyers capable of independently managing complex cases. What matters most is that you can think, write, communicate and advocate. This is a hands-on litigation role. You will work directly with experienced trial attorneys, interact with clients, develop case strategy and take an active role in moving matters from initial evaluation through resolution or trial. What You'll Do Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution Develop case strategy in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses and other legal documents Take and defend depositions Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts and other parties Evaluate liability, damages and potential exposure Prepare cases for settlement, mediation and trial Handle additional litigation responsibilities based on experience level What We're Looking For Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar Experience or demonstrated interest in civil litigation Background in personal injury, insurance defense, premises liability, automobile negligence, wrongful death, general liability or related litigation is strongly preferred Strong legal writing, research and analytical skills Clear and professional communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities Sound judgment and attention to detail Willingness to take ownership of cases and continue developing as a litigator Experience Level We are intentionally keeping the experience requirement broad. Attorneys earlier in their careers will have the opportunity to work closely with accomplished litigators and gain meaningful experience with depositions, hearings, case strategy and courtroom practice. Experienced attorneys will be given the independence to manage cases, work directly with clients and take a leading role in litigation strategy and resolution.
