Seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join our litigation team. This position is intended for an attorney who is comfortable taking ownership of cases, making strategic litigation decisions, and handling matters through trial. Key Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join our litigation team. This position is intended for an attorney who is comfortable taking ownership of cases, making strategic litigation decisions, and handling matters through trial. This is not a purely supervisory or case-management position. We are looking for a practicing litigator who is confident in depositions, hearings, motion practice, mediations, negotiations, trial preparation, and the courtroom. Independently manage an active litigation caseload from inception through resolution and trial Develop and execute case strategy, including discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and trial preparation Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives Draft and argue substantive motions and handle evidentiary hearings Attend and actively participate in mediations and settlement negotiations Evaluate liability, damages, exposure, and settlement strategy Prepare witnesses and clients for depositions and trial Develop trial strategy, prepare exhibits, motions in limine, witness examinations, and other trial materials Serve as trial counsel, including first-chair responsibilities where appropriate Maintain direct and professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the Court Ensure all cases are aggressively and efficiently advanced toward resolution Required Qualifications Active member in good standing of The Florida Bar Minimum five (5) years of substantive litigation experience Demonstrated courtroom and contested-hearing experience Strong deposition and motion-practice experience Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills Ability to independently analyze cases and make sound strategic decisions Ability to manage a substantial caseload while meeting court-ordered and internal deadlines Five or more years of civil litigation experience First-chair jury or bench trial experience Experience independently managing cases through the full litigation lifecycle Experience examining witnesses, presenting evidence, and arguing substantive matters before the Court Strong record of resolving cases through both negotiated settlements and trial Civil litigation experience is strongly preferred; however, attorneys with significant criminal litigation and courtroom experience will be considered.
