Responsibilities include drafting coverage positions, assessing legal and financial exposure, coordinating discovery, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll collaborate closely with underwriting and claims teams, contribute to process improvements, and support innovative insurance solutions with room for advancement and professional development. Responsibilities Manage complex insurance litigation and coverage disputes from inception through resolution. Conduct detailed coverage analysis and draft coverage position letters and recommendations. Oversee and direct outside counsel, including strategy, budgets, and performance. Evaluate legal and financial exposure and recommend settlement, litigation, or alternative strategies. Negotiate settlements to achieve cost-effective, defensible outcomes. Coordinate discovery, document production, and witness preparation with internal teams and counsel. Ensure compliance with applicable insurance regulations, policies, and internal guidelines. Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to provide legal insight on risk and policy wording. Track and report on litigation metrics, trends, and emerging legal issues impacting specialty programs. Contribute to process improvements, best practices, and training related to claims and litigation management.
