We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Litigation Attorney to join our team and help deliver exceptional legal services to our clients.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Business Litigation Attorney, preparation of motions for summary judgment, defense against motions for summary judgment, federal court litigation, appellate litigation, taking depositions, and representing clients in court hearings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for legal research, drafting briefs, managing depositions, representing clients at court hearings and trials, and handling appeals. This position requires strong written and oral advocacy skills, as well as a thorough understanding of complex legal issues related to business disputes and employment law.

Key Responsibilities:

Litigation Management:

Oversee and manage a caseload of business litigation matters, from pre-litigation through trial and appeal.

Brief Writing:

Draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal briefs, motions, and other court documents.

Legal Research:

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.

Depositions & Discovery:

Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and assist in preparing witnesses for trial.

Court Hearings & Trials:

Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and arbitration proceedings, providing strategic guidance and advocacy.

Appellate Work:

Handle appellate briefs, motions, and oral arguments, working with senior attorneys as needed on appeals.

Client Communication:

Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, strategize on case progression, and address any concerns.

Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues, paralegals, and other team members to deliver high-quality legal services and meet client objectives.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active State Bar License in Florida. 7+ years of experience in business litigation, with a focus on both business disputes and employment-related cases. Proven experience in drafting legal briefs, conducting legal research, and managing discovery. Strong courtroom experience, including conducting depositions, hearings, trials, and appellate work. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience handling complex business disputes, including contract disputes, business torts, non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and employment matters (discrimination, wrongful termination, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
