Commercial Real Estate & Banking Attorney Location:
Oakland Park, Florida (On-Site)
Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years Join a Growing Commercial Real Estate and Lending Practice We are seeking an experienced attorney with at least five years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions, banking matters, or commercial loan closings. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented attorney who enjoys managing sophisticated transactions from contract through closing while working closely with clients, lenders, investors, and title professionals. Our firm is a collaborative, 10-person office where every team member plays an important role. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys balancing multiple projects simultaneously, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. Working alongside managing attorney Rose Brill, you will gain the benefit of her extensive experience, practical insight, and genuine enthusiasm for commercial real estate, commercial lending, and helping entrepreneurs build and grow successful businesses. This position offers meaningful responsibility, professional mentorship, and the opportunity to become an integral part of a growing practice. Responsibilities Manage commercial real estate and lending transactions from inception through closing. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial loan documents. Review title commitments, surveys, organizational documents, leases, and other due diligence materials. Prepare and maintain transaction checklists to ensure deadlines and closing requirements are met. Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, title companies, surveyors, opposing counsel, and other parties to facilitate successful closings. Attend commercial real estate closings and oversee execution of transaction documents. Manage multiple active transactions while maintaining exceptional organization and attention to detail. Monitor deadlines, proactively follow up with clients and third parties, and keep transactions moving efficiently. Identify and resolve issues that arise during the due diligence and closing process. Provide practical legal advice to clients regarding commercial real estate and financing matters. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar. Minimum of five years of experience in commercial real estate, banking law, commercial lending, or real estate closings. Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage numerous files and competing priorities with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, client-focused demeanor. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management software. "Can Do" attitude who receives feedback easily and works well with others in a collaborative office environment.
