Job Description
Job Summary A growing legal services firm in Orlando, FL is seeking a Business Litigation Attorney for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a litigation associate with 3 to 5 years of experience who is ready to manage cases with greater independence, work on sophisticated commercial disputes, and build a long-term legal career. This position offers exposure to complex litigation in state and federal courts, business court matters, commercial disputes, and collection-related litigation. Attorneys are encouraged to think independently, advocate thoughtfully for clients, and develop their own professional identity and business relationships over time. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
- Develop case strategies, analyze legal issues, and prepare clients for key litigation milestones.
- Conduct and defend depositions involving fact witnesses, expert witnesses, and business stakeholders.
- Appear in state and federal court for hearings, conferences, oral arguments, and related proceedings.
- Serve as a client-facing attorney by providing case updates, legal risk assessments, and strategic guidance. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 to $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

- Manage commercial litigation matters involving breach of contract, partnership disputes, business torts, and related business disputes.
- Prepare complex pleadings, motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, appellate briefs, and other litigation filings.
- Develop and execute discovery strategies, including written discovery, document review, e-discovery, and depositions.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, conferences, arbitrations, and trial preparation activities.
- 3 to 5 years of litigation experience required.
- Strong commercial or business litigation background preferred.
- Experience independently managing cases or significant portions of litigation matters.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience with pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.
- Comfortable appearing in state and federal court.
- Excellent client communication, relationship-building, and case strategy skills.
- Highly motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while collaborating with other attorneys.
- Interest in long-term professional growth and developing a book of business. Preferred Qualifications
- Complex bankruptcy litigation experience is a plus.
- Interest in business development and building a personal client base.
- Experience participating in trials, arbitrations, or significant evidentiary hearings.
- Prior exposure to business court, complex commercial litigation, or high-value commercial disputes.
