DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims, providing expert legal counsel, and advocating for clients involved in workplace injury cases. RequirementsManage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution, including investigation, negotiation, and litigation when necessaryConduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws and regulationsDraft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and insurance carriersAdvocate for clients during hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomesCollaborate with medical professionals, employers, and other stakeholders to gather evidence and build strong casesMaintain detailed case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with all procedural requirementsStay informed about changes in workers' compensation law as well as related areas such as personal injury law and employment regulationsSkills2-5 years knowledge of workers' compensation law and related legal areas such as personal injury law, employment law, and litigation proceduresStrong research skills utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platformsExcellent legal drafting and writing skills for preparing pleadings, reports, and correspondenceProven negotiation abilities to facilitate settlements effectively while protecting client interestsExperience with legal administrative processes including case management systems and document organizationAbility to analyze complex legal issues quickly and develop strategic solutionsEffective communication skills for interacting with clients, courts, insurance companies, medical providers, and colleagues
