Gorman is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our growing legal team. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience in a fast-paced practice focused on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and eager to develop professionally while working closely with experienced attorneys. You will handle meaningful casework, advocate for clients, and play an integral role in every stage of litigation. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive legal research to develop case strategies and advise clients. Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and other legal documents. Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances as appropriate. Assist with all aspects of trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witnesses, and coordinating case materials. Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring deadlines and court requirements are met. Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, legal options, and litigation strategy. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide exceptional client service. Conduct statutory and case law research and apply procedural rules to litigation matters. Negotiate settlements when appropriate and advocate effectively on behalf of clients. Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files using legal case management software. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar. Experience in criminal law, family law, or personal injury . Strong knowledge of Florida court procedures, civil and criminal rules, and litigation practice. Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills. Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence. Strong courtroom presence and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software. Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
