Job Description
Job Summary A well-established law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney with commercial and business litigation experience to join its growing legal team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney who wants to manage meaningful cases, work closely with experienced legal professionals, and contribute in a collaborative, client-focused environment. This Associate Attorney role offers exposure to a diverse caseload involving commercial litigation, business disputes, civil litigation, contract matters, insurance litigation, and property-related litigation. Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and business litigation matters from case inception through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and provide strategic case recommendations.
- Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings.
- Track litigation deadlines, manage case schedules, and coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to keep matters moving efficiently. Compensation and Benefits
Compensation:
$100,000 to $140,000+ base salary per year.- Bonus opportunity available.
- Higher compensation may be available for the right candidate.

Tampa, FL 33606.- Employment type: Direct hire. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Handle commercial, business, and civil litigation matters through all phases of the case lifecycle.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
- Develop litigation strategies through legal research, case analysis, and client communication.
- Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Active Florida Bar license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience required.
- Experience with commercial litigation, business litigation, civil litigation, contract disputes, insurance litigation, or property litigation.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, competing priorities, and litigation deadlines.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and proactive. Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience handling commercial litigation and business litigation matters in a law firm environment.
- Experience with contract disputes, insurance litigation, property litigation, or complex civil litigation.
- Deposition, mediation, arbitration, hearing, or trial preparation experience.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff.
