This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Winter Haven, Florida. We are seeking an attorney who enjoys working closely with clients and teammates in a collaborative office environment.
Note:
This position requires an active Florida Bar license, 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, and proven first-chair jury trial experience. First-chair trial experience is a non-negotiable requirement for this role. Job Description Serve as first-chair trial attorney on complex personal injury litigation matters. Manage cases from initial filing through settlement or jury verdict. Develop litigation strategies that maximize client outcomes. Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and jury trials. Draft and argue pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda. Evaluate liability, damages, medical records, and expert opinions. Negotiate favorable settlements while preparing every case as though it will proceed to trial. Build strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service. Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and litigation staff to efficiently manage an active caseload. Mentor support staff and contribute to the continued success of the litigation department. Ensure compliance with Florida procedural rules and litigation deadlines. Qualifications Active Florida Bar license in good standing. 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience. Proven first-chair jury trial experience required. Experience managing cases through all phases of litigation. Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and legal writing skills. Experience conducting depositions, mediations, and motion practice. Excellent organizational, leadership, and client relationship skills. Ability to manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
