Insurance Defense Attorney (3-6 Years) -
Trucking, Auto & Premises Liability Location:
Greater Atlanta, GA Join a Growing Litigation Team Our client, a well-established and highly respected defense firm in the Greater Atlanta area, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3-6 years of litigation experience to join its expanding practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to handle sophisticated, high-exposure litigation while working alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have experience defending trucking, automobile, and premises liability matters from inception through resolution and be ready to take ownership of an active caseload. What You'll Do Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters involving: Trucking and commercial transportation litigation Automobile liability Premises liability Handle cases through all phases of litigation, including: Written discovery Depositions Motion practice Court appearances Mediations Trial preparation Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure. Work directly with insurance carriers, adjusters, and corporate clients. Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and settlement agreements. Collaborate with partners while maintaining significant client contact and case responsibility. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school. Active membership in the Georgia Bar. 3-6 years of insurance defense litigation experience. Experience handling trucking, commercial auto, automobile liability, and/or premises liability cases. Strong deposition, legal writing, and motion practice skills. Excellent communication and client relationship abilities. Ability to independently manage multiple files in a fast-paced litigation practice. Preferred Experience Experience representing national insurance carriers or self-insured entities. Trial preparation experience; first-chair or second-chair trial experience is a plus. Familiarity with catastrophic injury or high-exposure claims is beneficial but not required.
