What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a litigation attorney with 0-5 years of experience in criminal and civil litigation, preferably in the area of personal injury or criminal defense. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with strong advocacy skills, a sharp legal mind, and a passion for the law. This is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to develop professionally and build a thriving litigation practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in criminal defense and civil litigation matters from intake to resolution. Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including trial . Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs . Appear in court for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Engage in client counseling, case strategy development, and negotiations . Work collaboratively with the legal team to ensure effective case management.
Requirements:
0-5 years of litigation experience (criminal and/or civil). Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle hearings and trials. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively. Active Georgia Bar License (Required).
Compensation:
$65,000 - $95,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations Prepare for and conduct criminal hearings and trials
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients Successful completion of the bar exam Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
