Position Summary Bolton Law PLLC is seeking an experienced, licensed attorney to join our Sandpoint office in a dual-practice capacity covering Family Law and Criminal Defense. This attorney will manage an active caseload serving clients in Bonner County and surrounding communities, working closely with firm leadership to deliver high-quality, client-centered legal representation in both practice areas. Primary Responsibilities

• Manage an independent caseload of family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, legal separation, protection orders, and modifications
• Represent clients in criminal defense matters ranging from misdemeanor to felony charges in state court
• Conduct client strategy sessions, intake evaluations, and ongoing client communication
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, orders, and other court documents
• Appear in Bonner County District Court and Magistrate Court as well as other North Idaho courts as needed
• Collaborate with firm paralegals and support staff to ensure timely case progression
• Meet individual billing and realization targets as set by firm leadership
• Maintain compliance with Idaho Rules of Professional Conduct
• Participate in firm-wide attorney meetings and mentorship culture

Qualifications Required:

• Active Idaho State Bar license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience in family law, criminal defense, or both
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
• Reliable transportation and ability to appear in-person in Sandpoint and surrounding courts

Preferred:

• Active licensure in both Idaho and Washington State
• Established familiarity with Bonner County courts and local court rules
• Experience with MyCase or comparable practice management software
• Spanish language proficiency (a plus, not required) Compensation and Benefits
• Base salary: $120,000
• $195,000 depending on experience and book of business
