Experienced Immigration Attorney Chicago, IL (On-site or Hybrid)
EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
Client is seeking a passionate and driven Immigration Attorney to join our growing team in Chicago. This role is ideal for a licensed attorney with experience or a strong interest in EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) representation and removal defense. We handle many immigration matters-from family-based petitions and citizenship to complex deportation defense and federal litigation. Key Responsibilities Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in both detained and non-detained settings Handle all aspects of removal defense, including bond hearings, individual hearings, and appeals Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and supporting documents Prepare clients and witnesses for court testimony and immigration interviews Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and other attorneys to ensure thorough and strategic case preparation Maintain timely and effective communication with clients and their families Stay up to date on evolving immigration policies, EOIR procedures, and legal precedents Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in any U.S.state (Illinois preferred) 8+ years proven experience in immigration law, particularly removal defense and EOIR representation (preferred but not required) Fluent in Spanish and English (Preferred) Exceptional writing, organizational, and oral advocacy skills Strong courtroom presence and confidence managing a full EOIR docket Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay focused under pressure Values collaboration, takes initiative, and is passionate about helping others Must demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and integrity in client interactions Why Join Client?
