Immigration Litigation Attorney (EOIR)
Salary:

Job Summary:
A well-established and rapidly growing immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Litigation Attorney to join its Chicago office. This position focuses on EOIR representation and removal defense , providing the opportunity to advocate for clients in complex immigration matters while making a meaningful impact on individuals and families. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in the courtroom, enjoys litigation, and is passionate about protecting the rights of immigrant communities.
Job Responsibilities:
Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in detained and non-detained proceedings. Handle all phases of removal defense, including master calendar hearings, bond hearings, individual hearings, and appeals. Prepare and argue motions, briefs, and other legal filings. Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies. Prepare clients and witnesses for immigration court hearings and interviews. Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the legal process. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure exceptional case preparation. Stay current on changes in immigration laws, EOIR procedures, and legal precedents.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (Illinois preferred). Experience handling EOIR cases and removal defense is required. Strong litigation, legal writing, and courtroom advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload. Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred. Passion for immigration law and serving diverse communities. About the
