Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney who knows the law, feels comfortable in the courtroom, and—just as importantly—understands that family law is about people going through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Our practice represents clients throughout Cook, Will, DuPage, and surrounding counties , and we're looking for an attorney who can confidently manage cases from the first consultation through resolution while giving clients the personal attention and guidance they deserve. If you enjoy family law, are comfortable managing your own caseload, and want to be part of a practice where both strong advocacy and compassion matter, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Manage a full family law caseload including divorce, child custody/parenting time, child support, paternity, and property division Represent clients in court throughout Cook, Will, DuPage, and surrounding counties Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents Meet with potential clients for initial consultations, evaluate their circumstances, and explain their options in a clear and approachable way Negotiate on behalf of clients and represent them during mediation, pre-trial conferences, hearings, and other court proceedings Communicate regularly with clients and help guide them through what can often be a stressful and emotional process Work collaboratively with our team to provide thoughtful, responsive, and effective representation What We're Looking For Juris Doctor (JD) degree Active Illinois law license At least 2 years of dedicated family law experience Familiarity with local court procedures in Cook, Will, and DuPage counties Strong courtroom, negotiation, writing, and communication skills Someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines High emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate with clients who may be experiencing difficult life transitions Reliable transportation for travel to local courthouses Compensation & Benefits We want to offer a compensation package that is competitive with your experience and the value you bring to the practice.
